How far are we taking
Christianity in Zambia

23.11.2005-We do appreciate Zambia being a Christian nation, but to
what extent are we taking Christianity to? Most people in the ruling
government when they go abroad or neighbouring countries, its so shocking
what they do. They get all these rooms with all the porn channels in their
hotel rooms but it’s only when they come back to mother land Zambia to
continue their duties that’s when they come to say Zambia is a Christian
nation.
One thing I have come to appreciate about the Catholics here although
there is a lot of abuse going with them, at least they are so open in most
of the things they do. You get to hear about priests that confess to being
gay and get to leave the country, but let look at other churches in
Zambia, Denominations, they are busy doing it inside the churches yet we
are still condemned about being gay and accusing us taking on the Catholic
steps.
I must say I don’t belong to any church out here but it’s annoying to be
pointed as a dirty person because of being gay and not it being a sin to
sleep with different girls inside the church’s praise teams. When Zambia
was declared as a Christian nation it did not mean that only gay people in
Zambia would be sinners.
