Ne-Yo laughs off gay mischief

01 Sept 2006- R&B sensation Ne-Yo has been taking the pop world by storm with hits such as So Sick and Stay With Me. Recently many fans were shocked by the news that the man – adored be legions of both male and female fans- was gay and about to come out of the closet.

But the news, circulated on the internet in the form of a fake press release, was put about by someone bent on making mischief. Ne-Yo has made it clear that, whilst there is no truth to suggestion, he was not at all bothered by the gossip.

“You know what? I laughed harder than I’ve ever laughed in life. Its really really funny to me,” he said.

“What’s so funny is that someone took time out of their personal life to write this stuff about me.”

Just days before the gay rumours started pictures were put on the internet of Ne-Yo getting very personal with a backing singer. The pictures were not the cause of the gossip, however the singer in question was female.
