Love or war

Nyarau aged 22 gives us a story on how worse it has become in sudan and narrating how brutal soldiers have become. It is believed not to be just war but behind it all there’s all sorts of horrible things happening. Young girls are being raped and disappear everyday later found married to the soldiers that are claiming to protect them.

Nyarau explains how her kid sister went missing later force to get married, its not easy to refuse if you are found by the soldiers, you could be lucky if they just want to rape you or take turns the whole group of them, that’s what happened to me I considered myself to be lucky because I was not taken away.

Its no surprise even when you are lesbian, because its is expected of you to be married at a young age and that has to be arranged of force into becoming someone’s wife and that’s obviously with a soldier. One can never have rights here and the only way you can even think of expressing your sexuality is by being silent for the rest of your life, that’s the life I have out here in Sudan.
