Circumcised or Uncircumcised is it a priority in African gay sex

by Ndanji Chola

25 April 2006- There are so many ways of regarding circumcision, others say its cleanliness, others say it proves being a real man and some say you take time to have an orgasm. So what is circumcision when it comes to gay sex or should I say homosexuality?

In my country it’s not every boy that has to be circumcised, it’s according to the different traditions and it has nothing to do with sex at all. It’s now when you get to hear other guys asking if you are cut or Uncut.

Most guys have a preference, but does it really matter? Having to combine Cut or Uncut with gay sex is not an issue in Zambia, it’s how sex is performed between two men. Some guys have preferred to be circumcised because of medical reasons, but it’s become more of an issue, even when cruising is it in the park, on internet or in the clubs some guys want to know if you are cut or uncut.

The issue still remains taboo for some African gay guys, they would rather not talk about cut or uncut instead they would be interested in knowing if one is Active or Passive. It is a world of today where most African gay men have become so modern that’s they have preferences.

As an African gay man I don’t think this matters at all, the fact remains that there will be sex in between me and the other half at some point we will both get a satisfaction out of it without interviewing each other how the performance should be or whether circumcised or uncircumcised..

It’s funny how sex is changing day by day among African gay men, its becoming more complicated than it should be. If only the preference of being cut or uncut would be replaced to being concerned about having protective sex and promotion of condoms  hence the prevention of HIV/AIDS then most African gay men would have more to enjoy than getting worried if one is circumcised or uncircumcised.
